TDY Housing Near 7th SFG(A) and Duke Field

    Last Updated: July 2026

Who this guide is for: Teams and individual travelers on orders to Camp "Bull" Simons (7th SFG(A)), Duke Field / 919th SOW, or the north side of the Eglin reservation.

Crestview is ORP Rentals' home market. It's a small city on the north side of the Eglin reservation, along the I-10 corridor, and it's where most of our housing sits.

    The North Eglin Corridor

Duke Field (Eglin Auxiliary Field 3) is roughly five miles south of Crestview along SR-85. It's home to the 919th Special Operations Wing — the only special operations wing in the Air Force Reserve. Camp "Bull" Simons, home of the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), is nearby on the reservation. Crestview is the closest full-service town, without the beach-traffic commute from the south side.

ORP was founded by a Special Operations service member, and this corridor is the reason the company exists: teams kept arriving here with a lodging budget and nowhere purpose-built to put them.

Team and Crew Housing, Done Right

We coordinate whole furnished homes for teams and crews:

    • One member per room — private bedroom, no bunking.
    • Fully furnished, utilities and Wi-Fi included, real kitchens and laundry.
    • Parking for trucks and gear.
    • One point of contact for the whole stay.

Solo travelers: private rooms available, some with private baths, subject to availability.

    Built for Government Travel

    • Within your authorized budget. Your authorized lodging budget may be able to support a whole furnished home for the team, depending on season and availability. We price to your orders, not against them.
    • GTCC-friendly billing. Charges structured to work cleanly on a Government Travel Charge Card, individually documented where needed.
    • Itemized receipts per traveler. ORP is the vendor of record — receipts are DTS-ready.

    How It Works

    1. Send headcount, dates, duty location, and lodging rate from your orders.
    2. We propose housing that fits.
    3. Check in and go to work — receipts itemized and voucher-ready.

For current per diem rates and the on-base/off-base decision, see the Eglin AFB TDY Lodging Guide. Receipt requirements explained in our JTR receipts guide. Broader overview: TDY & Government Housing.

    Not a Listings Website

ORP Rentals is not a search-and-scroll marketplace. Travelers tell us where they're going, their dates, and their authorized lodging budget — and ORP coordinates the housing, sourcing from our own homes and trusted providers. You don't search hundreds of listings; we bring you the option that fits. Tell us where you're going. We'll find the housing.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Duke Field relative to Crestview?

Duke Field (Eglin Auxiliary Field 3) is about five miles south of Crestview on the Eglin reservation, home of the 919th Special Operations Wing. Camp "Bull" Simons, home of the 7th SFG(A), is nearby on the reservation.

Can you house a full team in one property?

Often, yes — we coordinate whole furnished homes with one member per bedroom. Capacity depends on availability for your dates, so send headcount and dates early.

Does each traveler get an individual receipt?

Yes. We issue itemized lodging receipts per traveler when required, so each member can file their own DTS voucher cleanly.

Do you guarantee availability or per diem coverage?

No — and be wary of anyone who does. Availability depends on dates and headcount, and your entitlements are set by your orders and the JTR. What we do is price housing to fit within the lodging budget you're authorized.
